How does ZK-LPR Car ID License Plate Recognition System work?
ZK-LPR Car ID license plate recognition system delivers advanced vehicle access control requirements, thanks to its high-performance IP camera, BL-852Q38A-LP, and powerful embedded software that provides consistent and reliable results.
The embedded LPR software in ZK-LPR Car ID executes a license plate recognition algorithm inside the camera for ease of use in access control, tolling and weighing scenarios.
When a vehicle reaches a checkpoint, ZK-LPR Car ID’s license plate reader captures the video image and converts it into data. This data is processed with sophisticated algorithms and cross-checked within its internal database allowing ultrafast verification and custom entrance control decisions to be set-up within its configuration.
Although in traditional LPR camera systems the best performance is always achieved with one camera per lane, ZK-LPR Car ID lets you set up multiple lane camera support. With a single LPR Camera, ZK-LPR Car ID can recognise the license plate numbers of vehicles travelling in two different lanes, and determine the incoming or outgoing plates in each traffic lane. This way, installation and costs can be optimised.
ZKBioSecurity Parking Module for an integral and comprehensive solution
ZK-LPR Car ID is thoroughly integrated into ZKBioSecurity Parking Module, if you require enhanced access control functionalities, and also allows integration with third-party software. With ZKBioSecurity, you can perform double verification for higher security, access the camera's view from the software and view log details of LPR activity.
The offline LPR camera operation works in standalone mode using the lists generated by the ZKBioSecurity software in the personnel section: “registers plates” and “authorized plates”. The camera will send each LPR capture to the FTP directory to be able to consult detected plates from the software ZKBioSecurity. The register of offline logs can be programmed.

Live View
ZK-LPR Car ID allows real-time monitoring of alphanumeric license plates captured by the camera, issuing reports with plate recognition data.
Monitor and review LPR history data
The licences plate recognition history data can be stored for retrieval and review. Different filters can be enabled for this purpuse, such as: Date, time, country of origin.
Configure lists and linkage actions
The system allows to create an unlimited number of event lists and assign different actions like, for example, opening/closing barriers sending a signal via HTTP or simple integrations with 3rd party companies like Milestone or Lenel. All linkages can be activated by limited time periods and lists can be exported or imported from other devices.
